Born in Hiroshima.
Recieved 'Seiichi Suzuki Award' at the 16th annual "The Choice Awards".
Works include picture books "Sora Ga Takakatta Koro"(meaning "when the sky was high"), collaborations with Mitsuyo Kakuta "Presents" and "Nakushita Mono Tachi no Kuni"(meaning "Country of
Forgotten Things").
She has designed over 300 books, and is active in many media such as illustrations for various advertisements, magazines, fashion lines, presenting works for museum shops in
Roppongi Hills and Shanghai Hills to name a few.
Taiko is popular overseas as an artist to represent Asia.
